PREVIOUS POSTS...FROM OUR MOVE TO CAMBODIA

STUFF..

after spending a lot of hours sorting through my things i feel as if i need to offload some thoughts and questions.

- how many items can we own before they start taking over our life?

- is it any wonder that i hardly have time for anything constructive when im so busy fiddling around with a house full of  objects.

- whats the smallest (yet realistic )amount of things to own?

- can it be that every item we own steals a little part of our soul? so that the more we own..the smaller our soul is?

- what would a life look like that had minimal belongings?

- what do i want to teach my kids about ownership?

- is there something i can do so i dont get back to being ruled by 'stuff'?

- how would i justify my lifestyle to a hungry child living on the streets?

- who do i want to model my life after?

- im so embarrassed by having so many things. some have meaning. some are useful. but which of them are essential?

- i long for a life where im not weighed down by baggage.

- experiences are so much greater than objects.

- happiness is.....
